Abstract

Academic Burnout is described as a syndrome of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and decreased satisfaction or achievement experienced by an individual. The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in changes in individual psychological conditions in every aspect of life, including academics. This study aims to determine the academic burnout of high school students in Cilacap district, with 481 high school students as respondents. This research method is a type of survey research, sampling using random sampling. Data was collected through google form distribution with the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Students Survey (MBI-SS) scale with a reliability of 0.85. Data analysis used descriptive analysis with the help of SPSS. The results showed that out of 481, 197 (40.95%) students were in the category of high academic burnout. 178 students are in the medium category (37.00%), and 106 students are in the low category (22.05%). Most students experience high Academic Burnout.
