Garbage were a global problem, non-organic garbage tends to be hard to break down which has a great impact on environmental degradation, but organic garbage is very easy to break down and also has an impact on a dirty, clumsy, and bad odor. The aim of this study is to prove the public's contribution toward garbage elimination which handle by households. This study used descriptive qualitative methods and used three samples for comparison. The result of this study is the participation of the community which is different in every part of the City, the volume of garbage is also different in every nongovernmental group (KSM) and the volume of organic garbage is always bigger than nonorganic garbage. Maggots have a huge contribution toward garbage reducing nearly 100%, besides that the leftover garbage is less than 10%. It means that the contribution of community toward garbage reduction is more than 90%.
