Improving energy efficiency on board ships and reducing fuel consumption and emissions are the main goals of implementing green technology on ships. Green technology implementation and intervention can be done from the design stage. The redesign process carried out on the hull of the Roro XYZ ship aims to reduce the ship's resistance by adjusting the deadrise angle of the hull in order to obtain a reduction in the level of fuel consumption and emissions. The changes made have an impact on the seakeeping and motion sickness for passengers. In this research, an analysis of the comfort index is carried out on changes in the deadrise angle. The incoming wave parameters are 0, 45,90,135 and 180 at a speed variation of 6 knots and 12 knots. From the results of the MSI analysis, the 20° angle variation experiences the lowest vertical acceleration response compared to the other variations, but all variations meet ISO 2631 Criteria and are suitable for long-distance sailing at wave height conditions of 0.5 and 1 m, if the ship passes waves with a height of 1.25 m are recommended for ships not to exceed a speed of 6 knots.
