Implementasi Knowledge Management Pada Perpusatakaan Daerah Kabupaten Cilacap

Abstract

The Cilacap county library organization is the society in charge of the management and provision of library services at the county level. This organization acted as a role in facilitating access to information resources and knowledge for the cilacap county community so that they could gain greater knowledge. With diverse collections, quality services, and education programs, local libraries contribute to improving literacy and development of potential communities in cilacap districts. In today's globalization, competition for library services has become more intense, so it is important to develop knowledge management through information management to assist library service. Knowledge management may be regarded as a strategy used to improve efficiency and store knowledge of certain institutions, companies, or institutions. The study aims to identify the implementation of knowledge management in the cilacap district library organization. Descriptive methods with qualitative approaches are used in the study, through interviews with field heads and librarians in cilacap county libraries. The implementation of knowledge management needs to be maintained and increased if public satisfaction continues to rise against the quality of the region's library services.
